Meet Jordan M. Rush, MD

Gastroenterologist


Board-certified gastroenterologist Jordan Rush, MD, brings more than 15 years of experience to his role as a digestive disease specialist at Long Island Gastroenterology Specialists. Dr. Rush sees patients in the North Wantagh, and South Wantagh, New York, offices, where his patient-focused approach focuses on optimal outcomes.

Dr. Rush earned his undergraduate degree at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and went on to graduate from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

He completed his internal medicine training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and went on to complete fellowship training in gastroenterology and hepatology at NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island in Mineola, New York.

Dr. Rush also completed specialized training in liver disease and transplant hepatology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York City. He completed a fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at Mount Sinai Hospital.

He’s a member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and American Gastroenterological Association (AGA).

Alongside in-office patient care, Dr. Rush treats patients at Mount Sinai Hospital; NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island; Catholic Health Mercy Hospital in Rockville Centre, New York; and Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside, New York.

Dr. Rush was born and grew up on Long Island, and he and his wife are raising their two children there as well.
